Meet Dr. Rex
Alter Ego “Captain Rex”
If there is a defining statement about Dr. Rex, it would be that he “loves kids!” He knew early on in his dental training what he wanted to be: a kids’ dentist. He put his dream into action in 2000, starting with our office in Bend, OR, and expanding to satellite offices in Redmond and Klamath Falls. In this way he can reach as many parents as possible to offer his brand of pediatric dentistry: no-fear, friendly and fun dental care. He wants children to see dentists as their friends, and to make good dental care part of their routines for a lifetime.
Dr. Rex is a great advocate for preventive dentistry for children. He and his staff always take the time to thoroughly explain to children and their parents how to look after their teeth. To also ensure your child’s teeth stay healthy, Dr. Rex recommends treatment plans that take into account your child’s future dental and oral health.
You can also trust Dr. Rex’s competence as a dentist. After graduating in Pediatric Dentistry second in the nation for his year, he has continued his studies in pediatric dentistry, keeping up-to-date with the latest trends in helping children have comfortable, efficient dentistry. In 2013 he was awarded as one of America’s Best Dentists by the National Consumer Advisory Council.
Dr. Rex graduated from Kansas State University in 1994 with his Bachelors degree. He received his dental education from the University of Nebraska and did a two year advanced training residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center for Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Rex is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Oregon Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Rex enjoys giving back to the community by volunteering his time with the Kemple Clinic, a local non-profit children’s dental clinic. He and his office also take part in many community activities, including care packages for troops, Halloween candy buy-backs and educational talks to schools throughout the area.
